Sublimation of ammonium chloride

Ammonium chloride sublimes because it breaks into ammonia and hydrogen chloride on heating, and recombines again when it cools further up the tube. This isn't a very good bit of video and the commentary is impossible to understand, but it does show exactly what happens. Ignore the test with litmus paper. YouTube
